Change your habits in the fall...

"

Winter is coming," as they say in a pretty popular tv series. We feel already in our bones that mother nature is falling asleep and that short and cold days are coming. We know that it’s a normal process but at the end of the autumn most of us feel a little bit demotivated by the lack of sunshine and short days
What can we do to feel a little bit better and stay positive ? The answer is simple: let's introduce some new, low-energy habits into our lives to maintain our well-being on the constant level.

Here are 3 simple habits to start this autumn:

1. Stop complaining

Only few of us realize that the habit of complaining is much more widespread than the habit of enjoying life. Often, when something less positive happens to us, when we feel like we're in a deep hole, we have only one desire: to share our misery with everybody. And don't get me wrong, this need to share our misery with people around us is absolutely natural and in the case of emergency, it is justified and can really help us to feel better, find a compassion and/or a solution. However, if we discover that we need to complain all the time, every single day, that complaining became a habit; it may not be fully beneficial for us and our environment. After all, who can really stand the grumbling all day long? Complaining does not help to solve the problem, it only helps to evacuate negative emotions. In addition, using negative language on a daily basis does not help to feel better. If you really need to complain, do it on paper, take a white sheet of paper, write down everything that hurts you or goes wrong and then put it in the drawer. You will feel relieved and at the same time you will save your loved ones from complaining.

2. Schedule your daily pleasures.

The fall season is not the best time to start preparations for the marathon. In the autumn whole nature is resting, and it is hard to fight our natural biological rhythm. We are getting weight more easily in autumn, have less energy, our immune system is no longer as efficient as in the summer and these are completely normal. Giving up a bit and making yourself comfortable in this dark period of the year will certainly not harm you and will help you to keep your positive mental attitude. Try to put into your daily schedule at least the one moment to do what you like, what makes you happy. It can be drinking coffee in your favorite cup, listening to the music, having a long bath, reading a good book, watching a movie, going out for a walk or going out with friends, all these little rituals are so important to make you smile and will help to boost you to survive these cold, short days.

3. Make a list of positive events
Having a positive mental attitude is really important in the fall. Don't you sometimes get the impression that all your days are the same, that there's nothing particularly wrong with them but also nothing particularly thrilling or happy? Every day brings us something positive, surprising, often even beautiful but usually we are too tired or too busy, absorbed by our everyday life to capture it. This fall start to learn how to see and appreciate these moments. Every night before you go to bed, do a little review of the positive things you have experienced during the day. Write them down and go to sleep with the feeling that something positive has happened in your life. In this way we not only create memories but also change the way how we see the world. And by changing our perception, we are also changing our attitude to more positive.
